Formulator FAQ

Quick answers before your first trial.

These are selection guidelines, not universal performance or regulatory claims.

What is zinc ricinoleate used for?+

Zinc ricinoleate is evaluated as an odor-neutralizer ingredient in products such as air and surface care, fabric care, pet-area care, deodorizing products and selected personal-care formulations. Suitability must be confirmed in the complete finished formula.

What is the difference between water-based and oil-based zinc ricinoleate?+

The difference is mainly the carrier, solubility profile and compatibility with the finished-product system. Water-based and oil-based are formulation choices, not simply different performance levels.

What information is needed for a product recommendation?+

Share the application, odor source, water or oil phase, target pH, surfactant or emulsifier system, fragrance, destination market and expected sample or commercial quantity.

Which technical documents are available?+

TDS, SDS, COA, use guidance, MOQ and packaging information can be supplied for the selected product. Classification and free-sale documents can be coordinated when applicable to the product and market.

Why are BKC and CPC included in the portfolio?+

Benzalkonium chloride 99% powder and cetylpyridinium chloride are complementary hygiene and oral-care raw materials. They are not presented as substitutes for zinc ricinoleate, and their permitted use and claims depend on the finished product and destination market.
